
Staneyhill, Lerwick, Shetland
ECS prepared a Transport Assessment and Traffic and Transport Environmental Statement Chapter to support a planning application for up to 400 residential units at Staneyhill, Lerwick. The input from ECS identified that the likely generation from the proposed development could be accommodated on the transport network with the inclusion of suitably designed link road and various footway connections. The application was approved with minimal transportation related conditions.

Care Home Facility, Granton on Spey
ECS were commissioned to prepare a Transport Statement to support a planning application for a 40 bed care home in Granton on Spey. The application received a number of objections from local residents, including various transport and access related matters. The Transport Statement successfully demonstrated to The Highland Council that the proposed access, parking and accessibility of the site was suitable for the proposed use and location.

Residential Development, Strathpeffer
ECS prepared a Transport Statement to support an application for 15 residential units at Nutwood, Strathpeffer. The site is located some distance from the public road and only accessible by a single track private road which has a sub-standard junction on to the public road network. ECS designed a new access junction and access road with passing places which minimised the impact on exiting mature trees and gained the support of The Highland Council.

Car Showroom, Handforth
ECS were commissioned to provide a Transport Statement to support a planning application for the conversion of an existing industrial unit in to a prestige car showroom. ECS demonstrated that the proposed alterations to the internal layout and the existing highway network could accommodate vehicle transporters and was in keeping with current transport policy.
